Troubleshooting

  2. If the screen are blackscreen when installed, it may be that Tesla system detects the change of power supply and then protects the power supply of the plug directly, resulting in the low power supply voltage of the screen and unable to start up.
    Solution: Lock the car, and then keep people and key fob away from the car for 1 hour; After the power supply of the screen is restored, and then screen will start working

  3. If my carplay screen have echoing problem, how to solve it?
    Solution: When you are using carplay, if you want to route your calls through the car or speaker as default, you'll need to go to iPhone setup>accessibility > touch > call audio routing > set to Bluetooth headset which will then default to any Bluetooth device, which in this case, happens to be the tesla. Or set it to Speaker, which will default to iPhone Speaker rather than carplay.

Common Troubleshooting Guide

Reason:

  • The power supply fuse is burnt out
  • Microprocessor abnormal operation caused by other factors
  • After unplugged the host connector, it is not plugged in within 5 minutes
  • The host or screen plug is not plugged tightly

Solution

  • Replace the fuse of the same model
  • Restart the key fob
  • Connect all the wire harnesses, lock the car for 2 hours, keep the mobile phone and remote key more than 20 meters away from the car, and check whether the screen can be setup after 2 hours
  • Reconnect the host plug

Reason

  • Screen data error

Solution

  • Press the RST reset button on the right side of the screen to restart the system

Reason:

  • Navigation software is uninstalled or deleted

Solution:

  • Re install the navigation software

Reason

  • WIFI is not connected or there is no 4G network

Solution

  • Connect WIFI to synchronize online map or check whether there is 4G signal

  • GPS antenna position interferes

  • Relocate the position

  • The protocol wire of the power wire is not connected

  • Reconnect the wire and check the wire interface

  • 1. Set the default call path to the original vehicle Bluetooth or external speakers.
  • 2. When using carplay, if you want to route calls through the car or speakers by default, you need to go to iPhone Settings>Accessibility>Touch>Call Audio Routing>Set as Bluetooth headset, and then default to any Bluetooth device. In this case, Tesla is selected.
