Troubleshooting

  1. If the screen(8.8-inch/10.25-inch ) are blackscreen when installed, it may be that Tesla system detects the change of power supply and then protects the power supply of the plug directly, resulting in the low power supply voltage of the screen and unable to start up.
    Solution: Lock the car, and then keep people and key fob away from the car for 1 hour; After the power supply of the screen is restored, and then screen will start working

  2. If my carplay screen have echoing problem, how to solve it?
    Solution: When you are using carplay, if you want to route your calls through the car or speaker as default, you'll need to go to iPhone setup>accessibility > touch > call audio routing > set to Bluetooth headset which will then default to any Bluetooth device, which in this case, happens to be the tesla. Or set it to Speaker, which will default to iPhone Speaker rather than carplay.

it seems like a good quality and was a straightforward installation. anyway, it didn't tell me how complicated it is to set up Android Auto (the main reason I bought it) finally the selection for Carplay/Android Auto was gone completely. it says not installed. after a request for a solution with support, I haven't heard anything back. so, would I buy it again? NO. Would I recommend it? dont know. if you don't need Android Auto, maybe yes. but it seems like if you need support you're by yourself.

I love it.

Other than the annoying wind noise at highway speeds, the lack of CarPlay support was my #1 issue with the Model 3. Installing it required some serious contortion skills but there’s plenty of YouTube videos showing you how. The only issue it has (and it may be just my unit) is that every time I go near the car (like walking the dogs or mowing the lawn) it want to connect to my phone via bluetooth. That’s the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 star. I would do 4.5 stars if I could. No complaints otherwise.

Great 8.8 Screen

I purchased the Android 8.8 screen. Installation is easier on the model Y. Is very helpful that you don't have to keep looking a the side of your screen when driving and I like that you are able to use Carplay with my Iphone 13 pro max. Airflow seems to be fine due to the screen being smaller.
For my car upgrades I always look at Hansshow due to their great quality products.

But some options are missing in the software. Would love to be able to have a mirror to the car's navigation. Also thought that the hands on the speedometer run very choppy.
