Tesla Introduces Santa Mode Easter Egg: How to Activate It
Tesla is known for its fun Easter Eggs or hidden features that you can activate by pressing a certain sequence of buttons. There are a few Easter Eggs that you can activate on your Tesla. However, the most popular one is Santa Mode. Get ready to experience fun and engaging driving with Santa Mode.
What is Santa Mode?
If you're a Tesla owner and you've been waiting for the perfect time to activate Santa Mode, you're lucky.
The Santa Mode Easter egg will transform your car on the screen into a sleigh, with reindeer pulling it and presenting at the back. If you take a closer look, you'll notice something even more incredible: A modified Tesla!
Once you've activated it, you'll notice that all of the vehicles on the road will be rendered as reindeer. You can pan and zoom the visualization for a closer look at the sleigh and its contents.
You'll also notice that the roads suddenly get covered in snow. The other vehicles usually rendered on display will also change—instead of appearing as either a car or truck, they have been transformed into reindeer too!
Tesla took their time with these Easter Eggs, so other subtle details indicate Tesla took the long route and time with them.
When you turn on the Easter Egg in your Tesla, you will notice a few subtle changes. First, the reindeer's leg movements will slow down if you're moving slowly. If you choose to slow down, even more, the reindeer will stop moving entirely.
The turn signals will also change—instead of a clicker sound when signaling, it'll be replaced with sleigh bell jingles. You can look closer at the reindeer's collar and notice that it lights up, and a red flash appears when you use your turn signals.
When using the left turn signal, the reindeer's collar on the left will flash; when using the right turn signal, the reindeer's collar on the right will flash. These are all subtle but perfectly done!
